New Food Items & Rita's Recipes Tips and Tricks


As much as I enjoy Good friends, Good Cooking, and Great Food, nothing can compare to the Super Great health I enjoy by not only losing 38lbs, but keeping it off! My activity level has improved to where I can keep up with my grandchildren who help me from the herb and vegetable garden to the kitchen!

Hi everyone. As you well know last years garden harvest and canning had given our family plenty to enjoy over the winter and spring seasons. We are well into what seems to be a hot summer, so I thought I would cool you down with a few ideas on summer smoothies, entrees and a couple of tricks with Joy To Life’s Preferred Protein Plan!

For a quick and delicious breakfast;
I just love adding the Ready To Drink Vanilla to the Multi-Grain Caramel Chocolate cereal, and the Oatmeal’s for Breakfast. For those who love the skillet, I started topping the spanish omlette with Walden Farms Pancake or Blueberry syrup. By the way, we have been taste testing many of the Walden Farms foods and have decided to stock and send them to you starting August 9, 2010! You may view all the selections at www.waldenfarms.com

Phase I Smoothie

CHERRY SMOOTHIE
1 Packet Proti-Max Vanilla Pudding/Shake Mix
1 Packet Proti-Max Chocolate Pudding/Shake Mix
1 Cup of Water
5 Ice Cubes
1 Cup diet Cherry Cola

Mix all ingredients, except cherry soda, in blender on high speed until smooth.

Pour into chilled glasses then pour cherry soda on top.

NUTRITIONAL FACTS (Per Serving)

Serves 2
Calories                  100
Fat                          2g
Carbohydrate            6g
Protein                    15g

BLACK FOREST SMOOTHIE -
1 Packet Proti-Max Chocolate Pudding/Shake Mix
3/4 Cup of Cold Water
1 tsp cherry extract

Mix all ingredients, except cherry soda, in blender on high
speed until smooth.
Pour into chilled glasses.

NUTRITIONAL FACTS (Per Serving)

Serves 1
Calories                  100
Fat                          2g
Carbohydrate            6g
Protein                    15g

QUICK ENTREES FOR SUMMER SUPPER
Trick Potatoes
1 Packet of Proti-15 Cream of Chicken Soup
16oz frozen cauliflower

Cook cauliflower until very soft, drain. Mash with fork and add in soup. Mix well.

Fat                            0g
Carbohydrate             7g
Protein                     20g

Fried Chicken
1 Packet of Proti-15 Chicken Bouillon
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp white pepper
3 oz chicken breast
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil ( prefer cocoanut oil, does not turn into lipid peroxide when
exceeding 300 degrees F)

Combine first three ingredients in a bag. Shake chicken in bag until coated.

Heat oil in non-stick skillet. Add chicken, and cook until done.

Serves 2 Calories    166
Fat                           7g
Carbohydrate            5g
Protein                     25g
